When the engine is stopped using the engine starter, the headlights that are turned on by the vehicle's auto light function are turned off to prevent them from suddenly starting up.
With generic engine starters, the auto light function may not turn off even after the engine has stopped (vehicles equipped with an auto light function that cannot be turned off manually).
