Description

The GMW-B5000 series, featuring a full-metal design reminiscent of the original G-SHOCK, the DW-5000C, released in 1983, and featuring advanced features like smartphone linking. A fine resin buffer is sandwiched between the stainless steel metal bezel and the main case, enabling a full-metal case construction. High-density mounting technology maintains the same size. The heavy-duty screw-back case features a durable DLC coating for superior wear resistance. The metal band pieces are dimpled, inheriting the resin band design of the original model. It features a film solar cell and an STN-LCD (liquid crystal display). The face features a vibrant green glass vapor deposition and textured printing. Functionally, it connects to the dedicated app via Bluetooth® communication to obtain time information and keep accurate time. Other practical features include a time correction system using standard radio waves (Multiband 6), stable operation with Tough Solar, a high-brightness full-auto LED backlight, world time, and a day of the week display in six languages. While retaining its roots, this full-metal design further refines this G-SHOCK.
