2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
Product introduction Berryfire "1/700 US Navy Battleship Missouri BB-63 DX version" plastic model. The U.S. Navy battleship Missouri (BB-63) is the third of the Iowa-class battleships and is named after the 24th state of the United States, making it the fourth ship to bear that name. It was named by Margaret Truman, the daughter of then-president Harry S. Truman, a native of Missouri. The Missouri, launched in 1944, was the 63rd and last battleship built in the US Navy, and participated in the Battle of Okinawa in World War II, and on September 2, 1945, the Japanese surrender document was signed on the deck. After the war, it was retired in 1955 after the Korean War in the 1950s, and in 1986, it was recommissioned with state-of-the-art weapons and electronic equipment such as the BGM-109 Tomahawk, Harpoon, and Phalanx CIWS. After participating in the 1991 Gulf War, she was decommissioned in 1992, and has been preserved as a commemorative ship in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii since 1999.
