A set of three strands of high-quality refined hemp from Tochigi Prefecture, awarded the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Prize. This extremely valuable refined hemp is produced by a farmer who won the Minister of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries' Prize in 2011 at the Tochigi Prefecture Hemp Promotion Liaison Council's competition. Thread and string are made from refined hemp using traditional techniques. Refined hemp is the bark of the hemp stalk. Tochigi-grown hemp fiber is approximately 190 cm long. This is high-quality refined hemp that won an award at the 2015 competition.
