Brand Introduction

Fjällräven, which means "Arctic Fox," was founded in a small village called Övik in central Sweden. The brand was established by Ake Nordin, a 14-year-old scout boy who found existing backpacks uncomfortable. He decided to create his own backpack by carving a wooden frame, attaching it to the pack, and adding leather straps, leading to his first trekking backpack.

After enlisting in the military, Ake recognized the need for a backpack that could carry more load, and in 1960, at the age of 24, he established Fjällräven, beginning the serious production of outdoor gear and clothing. The logo of the Arctic Fox, with its shining eyes and rounded body, can now be found in cities and nature alike.
