The 7-stage charging process ensures optimal battery charging conditions. The automatic control system will adjust each of the 7 charging stages to correctly charge the battery: - STEP 1 - diagnostics - analyzes the battery and checks whether it can accept the charging current, prevents charging a damaged battery - STEP 2 - pre-charge - low voltage batteries are pre-charged with a small current, this ensures longer battery life - STEP 3 - soft start - the rectifier gradually increases the charging current from reaching the full charging current - STEP 4 - CC1, CC2, CC3 (Constant Current) - fast charging. The charging current is set automatically depending on the battery charge state - STEP 5 - CV (Constant Voltage) - charging to a voltage of 14.6V. Designed for charging almost fully charged batteries. It will stop charging the battery when it reaches 14.6V - STEP 6 - Resting - the charging process ends when the battery is fully charged - STEP 7 - Resting - automatic battery monitoring. The charging process will resume when the battery voltage drops below 12.8V (for 12V batteries). The charger housing has an IP 65 protection rating (splash-proof and dust-proof).
