A child demon named "Gash" suddenly appears before Takamine Kiyomaro, who leads a lonely student life due to his brilliant mind. This flashy fighting game, based on the comic and anime, unfolds as the two deepen their bond through the "magic book," and their spiritual growth and the quest for the "Demon King's throne."
Just like in the original game, the game features a 2-on-2 battle style that lets you fully experience the feeling of teamwork. While the controls are simple, controlling one character feels like two. Take note of the partner system, which features "Spell Attacks" that increase the strength of "Emotions" and "Combined Attacks" that increase the strength of Emotions when two characters act together.
Complicated commands are completely eliminated. Controls are simple, allowing you to easily unleash special moves. The screen is filled with realistic effects, just like in the anime. Each character has numerous special moves, such as Gash's Zaker, which deals damage with a powerful electric shock, and Brago's Graviray, which temporarily incapacitates enemies.
There are three game modes: "Solo Play," "Two-Player Battle," and "Mission Mode." In "Solo Play," you earn coins with each completion, which can be exchanged for collectible cards in the game. In "Mission Mode," you earn growth points that can be used to improve your character's abilities and acquire special abilities. Of course, you can also battle against friends with your improved characters. Let's go wild to our heart's content. (Hideyuki Matsumoto)
