Product Introduction
Fine Molds 1/72 JASDF F-15J Fighter J-MSIP Modernized Plastic Model FP51
As of 2023, approximately 200 F-15Js, the JASDF's main fighter aircraft, are deployed to nine squadrons nationwide.
Leveraging its excellent basic design and high scalability, the F-15J has been undergoing modernization of radar, electronic equipment, and onboard equipment since 1983 in the United States under the "MSIP" (Multi-Stage Improvement Program). The JASDF's F-15Js have undergone a gradual upgrade program, including Japan-specific modifications, under the "J-MSIP" program. Nearly 40 years after their introduction, they continue to serve as Japan's main fighter aircraft, fulfilling air defense missions.
This kit includes the "Hot Scramble 1984" model, which recreates the aircraft's initial configuration, as well as the current modernized version.
Differences between the current F-15 and the F-15, such as the exhaust nozzle without an iris cover and various antennas, are meticulously recreated.
Decals recreate the 201st Squadron (Chitose Air Base, Hokkaido), the 204th Squadron (Naha Air Base, Okinawa), and the 306th Squadron (Komatsu Air Base, Ishikawa Prefecture).
