Think back to the exciting era of Kansas City Jazz. Gonzalez's long-awaited jazz lead appears. It flexibly responds to dynamic changes in volume and tone, has excellent response, and has an appealing sound. In the 1920s and 1930s, Kansas City had a prosperous entertainment district despite the recession, so many musicians flocked there, and after the best players from each band finished their daily work, they gathered at clubs and held jam sessions. The intense battles, which could almost be called duels/brawls, made full use of each musician's musicality and technique, with each song lasting several hours, and many legends remain. It was during the Kansas City Jazz era that the saxophone took over the leading role in jazz. Although it gradually came to an end at the end of the 1930s, the style was brought to New York by artists such as Lester Young and Charlie Parker, and it would have a strong influence on the establishment of bebop later on.
