Product introduction KATO's smallest steam locomotive, the C12. The compact body has been accurately commercialized. Recreates the appearance of steam locomotives around 1970, when they were nearing the end of their life. It is a steam locomotive that can pass the R150 with a small radius and is suitable for operation in small layouts and small spaces. Equipped with a coreless motor with a flywheel, which is standard equipment on KATO steam locomotives, the C12 has excellent low-speed running performance. Reproduces the running performance suitable for local lines. The front wheel, driving wheel, and trailing wheel reproduce the realistic appearance without spokes, which is a recent specification. The air action tube has a printed copper tube representation. No run board white line. The front and rear headlights are lit in the direction of travel. No light off switch. The headlights are LP42, equipped with an ATS generator, and the sand sprinkling pipe reproduces the early type with front and rear distribution. Selectable license plate included. The car numbers are 42, 46, 51, and 67. A more realistic replacement knuckle coupler (rear) is included.
