2. PRODUCT DESCRIPTION:
The KV-2 (Russian: КВ-2: Karve Duvar) is a heavy tank developed in the Soviet Union during World War II. Due to its large size, it was equipped with a rotating turret equipped with a 152mm howitzer, and was nicknamed the Gigant by German soldiers.Based on the KV-1 heavy tank, which had just been adopted after development, a tank for breaching positions was developed that was designed and equipped with a new rotating turret equipped with a 152mm M-10 howitzer. In response to a request for development in December 1939, a prototype vehicle was completed at the end of January 1940, and two additional prototypes were completed in February.Of the six 8.8mm anti-aircraft shells, only two penetrated, but the crew survived, and there is a record that the vehicle was destroyed only by a depth charge attack by infantry.
