Product Introduction
Fine Molds 1/35 Military Series Imperial Army Type 97 Chi-Ha Medium Tank with Additional Armor Plastic Model FM27
The Type 97 Chi-Ha medium tank served as a core component of Japanese tank units from its production start in 1938 until the end of the war.
It was equipped with a 57mm tank gun suited to infantry support, and 7.7mm heavy machine guns mounted on the rear of the turret and the front of the hull.
It featured an air-cooled diesel engine, a hallmark of Japanese tanks.
Initially praised for its ample firepower and mobility, vehicles began to feature additional armor on the hull and front of the turret for improved defensive capabilities.
This additional armor version was deployed to the 23rd and 24th Tank Regiments deployed in Manchuria (now northeastern China), as well as the 7th Tank Regiment, which fought in the Philippines at the end of the war.
The tracks are made of plastic and feature a glued assembly system that allows for realistic rendition of sagging tracks.
The main gun breech is also reproduced.
Meticulous research has been conducted and reflected in the kit and instruction manual.
Exhaust pipe cover is made of precise photo-etched material.
Includes a bonus 1.8L sake bottle (clear parts).
