Introduction
Erik Rutan (Hate Eternal/formerly of Morbid Angel) officially joins the band!
The latest album from these US death metal veterans!
■Cannibal Corpse, a stalwart of American death metal, releases their 15th album!
■Formed in 1988. Despite numerous lineup changes, this legendary band has never stopped performing, maintaining their signature style and churning out riffs. In 2018, however, they were hit by another major accident. The day after announcing their participation on Slayer's tour, guitarist Pat O'Brien was arrested, putting their future activities in jeopardy. The band overcame the crisis by recruiting their old friend Eric Rutan (Hate Eternal/formerly of Morbid Angel), who had previously produced their previous albums, as a supporting guitarist.
■This album marks a fresh start, with Eric now officially back in the band. "Our songwriting approach remains the same. We want to write the heaviest, most memorable songs, with each song having its own distinct character. The biggest difference from our previous albums is Eric's presence. He wrote three songs in one go," the band members themselves say. As they state, the intensity of the riffs, sound, and death vocals maintains the band's traditional death metal style while updating it.
■Pre-release in Japan (intl: 4/16). Includes lyrics, bilingual lyrics, and commentary.
