This product is based on a locomotive belonging to the Seikan Branch Office of the Hakodate Transport Office of JR Hokkaido (formerly the Goryokaku Locomotive Depot). It was used to pull the sleeper express trains "Hokutosei," "Twilight Express," and "Cassiopea," as well as the sleeper express "Hamanasu." You can enjoy the appearance of the ED79 in its later years, when the regular pantograph was replaced from the original under-frame cross-type to a single-arm pantograph.
