Product Introduction
IBG "1/35 German Panzer II Ausf. B with Fuel Trailer and Storage Box" plastic model.
The Panzer II was developed as a larger, more practical training tank than the Panzer I.
MAN's design for a three-man tank weighing approximately 10 tons and armed with a 2cm gun was adopted.
Production began in 1935, but initially, small batches were produced as additional prototypes, undergoing repeated refinement and refinement.
The Ausf. B received a stronger engine than the Ausf. A to improve mobility, and the engine room was enlarged accordingly.
The suspension was also strengthened.
In battles leading up to the Battle of France, the Panzer II, which was the primary force in terms of numbers, was used more frequently than the Panzer III, which was in short supply.
Many combat-specific equipment was added, including fuel drum limbers, triple flares, and wooden boxes.
Spare road wheels and tracks were fitted as additional armor.
