[Pyros]
This French board game can be enjoyed by children and adults alike.
The first player to reach the top of the pyramid wins, and it requires highly strategic play, requiring players to guide their opponent's pieces into advantageous positions. It has also won numerous awards for its strategic and design-oriented design. Because it requires players to think ahead and use their brains to the fullest, it is used in educational settings around the world as an educational toy.
<How to Play>
1. Alternately place two colored balls into one of the 16 holes. (The white ball goes first.)
2. When the balls form a square, the player can choose to:
- Take a ball from the groove and place it in an empty hole on the board.
- Place a ball from the groove on top of the four balls that form a square.
- Place a ball on the board on top of the four balls that form a square. (This allows the player to keep the balls in the groove.)
*When moving balls on the board, they must be moved to a higher level. Also, balls that are supporting the pyramid cannot be moved.
3. If a player's balls form a square using only their own balls, they can return one or two of their balls on the board to the groove.
*Even if two or more squares are formed, only two balls can be returned.
4. The last player to place a ball on top of the pyramid wins. If a player runs out of balls and is unable to move any balls on the board, they lose.
