🎲 Theme: Immerse yourself in the vibrant, bustling marketplace of Marrakech! As a merchant, you'll compete to spread your beautiful carpets and outsmart your rivals in this colorful Moroccan city.
🃏 Mechanics: Marrakech combines accessible dice-rolling with clever area-control and economic decision-making. Players take turns rolling a die, moving Assam, the market supervisor, and then placing one of their carpets. Strategic placement is key to earning dirhams from opponents who land on your spaces, while avoiding the taxes yourself!
♟️ Components: This edition of Marrakech includes a beautifully illustrated game board, various fabric carpets in different colors, a wooden Assam figure, and plenty ofham coins. No specific size options are available for this product.
📖 How to Play: On your turn, roll the die and move Assam. After Assam moves, place one of your carpets adjacent to him. If Assam lands on an opponent's carpet, you must pay them dirhams! The game ends when all carpets have been placed. Players then count their visible carpets and remaining dirhams to determine the wealthiest merchant. A quick-to-learn game for ages 8 and up, playable in under 30 minutes for 2 to 4 players.
