The overwhelming world view and graphics created by the fusion of "realism" and "fantasy,"
and the series' first-ever adoption of an "open world," along with the introduction of highly action-packed and exhilarating battles, allow players to immerse themselves in the world and experience unprecedented freedom and realism.
Final Fantasy is once again creating a new foundation for a new generation.
FINAL FANTASY XV (FF15), the latest installment in the Final Fantasy series, will be released on November 29, 2016.
An endlessly expanding world, a world you can go anywhere: Adopting an "open world" format that allows you to freely move around, explore, and conquer a vast world. The world's conditions change in real time due to the passage of time and weather changes. Streets filled with laughter, grasslands where birds soar, lush forests, deep, dark caves— Travel to your destination and exploration of the world are entirely up to the player's will.
FF's first exhilarating action battle: "Shift" allows you to instantly teleport to the location where you thrust your weapon. You can move to a high place and then dive to target enemies on the ground, among other exhilarating actions that can be done with simple controls. Furthermore, "Weapon Summoning," which allows you to switch between various weapons in real time, "Cooperative Techniques" with party members, "Magic" influenced by weather and terrain, and "Summoning" to call upon powerful beings—these powerful battles push FF to a new dimension.
A story of father and son, and a king: Young Prince Noctis continues his journey to reclaim his kingdom, which was destroyed by the betrayal of the empire. The bonds with his companions. The bond with his father. And the bond of love. A strong bond that can never be broken, no matter what difficulties are faced, weaves a moving story.
Magic: While magic such as Fire and Blizzard exists, it is influenced by weather and terrain, a unique approach to realism only possible in this game. For example, if you cast Fire in a grassland, the flames will spread to the plants and trees, and they will die out when it rains. Blizzard will even freeze you. You can experience the effects of magic firsthand, drawing you even further into the world.
