タミヤ XB デュアルリッジ(TT-02B) [57876] is a fully assembled electric RC 4WD buggy designed for driving on various surfaces, from on-road to off-road. The name “Dual Ridge” comes from its dual-purpose concept, which allows agile driving on both on-road and off-road surfaces, as well as its distinctive pillar shape reminiscent of a ridge cutting through the air.
The futuristic body design, featuring a forward-positioned cockpit and smooth curved surfaces, was created by pdc_designworks, a studio involved in a wide range of product designs. The sharp rear wing and silver-based coloring with blue graphics and a vehicle name logo are distinctive features.
The model uses the TT-02B buggy chassis with a shaft-drive 4WD system. The bathtub-type main frame produces a skid effect through its boat-shaped underside, while the suspension uses a long-arm, four-wheel double-wishbone structure equipped with CVA oil dampers. The sealed front and rear gear cases contain four-bevel resin differential gears. A receiver case and motor cover are also installed to help prevent dust and other particles from entering.
The set includes a painted and marked finished body, a wheel-trigger-type transmitter, a 7.2V driving battery, and a charger. It uses a 2.4GHz radio system, with the transmitter and receiver paired on a one-to-one basis, allowing operation without crystal replacement or band adjustment. The transmitter features detachable grip and trigger covers, making it easier to operate for users with smaller hands.
A 540-type motor and an ESC (Electronic Speed Controller) capable of smooth speed control in both forward and reverse are installed.
