We offer a wide variety of products, and the following precautions apply to some of them. Please note that they are listed for all products. 【Voltage Compatibility】Designed for Japanese voltage (90-110V). Using with a different voltage may cause malfunction. 【Plug Type】Japanese plugs (A or B type). Use a conversion adapter if needed. 【Transformers & Adapters】Transformers adjust voltage; adapters only change plug shape. Using an adapter without a transformer may damage the product. 【Liability】We are not responsible for damages caused by improper use, such as using the product without a transformer. This great value set includes a footswitch that allows you to independently switch between FAST/SLOW modes and use the BRAKE function to gradually slow down and stop the rotor's rotation! 《Set Contents》・BOSS RT-2 Rotary Ensemble ・BOSS FS-6 DualFootswitchx1 - 1m general-purpose Y-cable for footswitch - PSA-100S2 original adapter This compact pedal delivers the sound and functionality you expect from a rotary effect. Featuring newly developed types that range from the sound of vintage rotary speakers to sounds with enhanced soundstage. A DRIVE knob adds saturation via a vacuum tube amplifier. A compact pedal combining three types of rotary effects with flexible operation. The RT-2 is a compact pedal featuring the sound of a vintage rotary speaker. It meticulously reproduces the characteristic vibration and rich spatial breadth produced by rotary speakers. In addition to classic rotary sounds, it includes three types of tones, including original sounds. Furthermore, its simple operation as a compact pedal allows you to control many of the functions required of a rotary effect. The RT-2 will inspire not only rotary sound enthusiasts but also players seeking new spatial expression. ● Achieves the sound and functionality required for rotary effects in a compact pedal. ● Equipped with newly developed types, ranging from the sound of vintage rotary speakers to sounds that emphasize sound dispersion. ● DRIVE knob adds saturation using a vacuum tube amplifier. ● Virtual rotary display allows you to visually check the rotor's rotation speed. ● The rotor rotation speed can be set to two patterns, FAST and SLOW, and switched using a foot control. ● RISE/FALL TIME switch allows you to select the transition speed when switching rotation speeds. ● Adjustable volume balance for treble/bass rotors. ● Four pedal switch modes allow you to select the on/off function of the effect and control the rotor's rotation speed. ● Stereo input and output terminals. ●By connecting a separately sold footswitch or expression pedal, you can enable individual switching between FAST/SLOW, BRAKE function, and control of assigned parameters. ■ Rotary speaker to pedalboard The rotary effect originated with rotary speakers that appeared in the 1940s. By physically rotating a rotor mounted inside the cabinet, the localization of the sound output from the speaker changes periodically, creating a unique fluctuation in volume and pitch. Furthermore, the real-time tonal changes that can be created by stopping the rotation or changing the speed are also one of its attractions. The RT-2 condenses this unique rotary sound and the flexible operation that maximizes its expressiveness into a compact pedal that is perfect for your pedalboard. ■Reproducing expressive power to the fullest extent The RT-2 meticulously reproduces the musical sound and behavior produced by the physical mechanism of a rotary speaker. The rotation speed can be set to two patterns using the FAST and SLOW knobs, and the speed can be visually confirmed on the central virtual rotary display. The FAST and SLOW states can also be switched using the pedal switch. The RT-2 also reproduces the tonal changes that occur when the rotor accelerates or decelerates when switching rotation speeds, and the RISE/FALL TIME switch on the back allows you to select from two transition speeds. ■ 3 types of rotary effects From a faithful reproduction of vintage rotary speakers characterized by their warm tone to a sound with original tuning that delivers a more expansive, undulating vibrato, the RT-2 features three different modes. - MODE I This mode, utilizing BOSS's latest modeling technology, faithfully reproduces the sound of vintage rotary speakers. It captures their unique character, delivering a warm, three-dimensional, and pleasantly nuanced sound. - MODE II This rotary effect offers a wider range and brighter tone than MODE I. It achieves both excellent clarity in an ensemble and a broad, diffused modulation. It also pairs exceptionally well with other pedals, such as distortion pedals. - MODE III MODE II retains the excellent clarity of the sound while expanding the variable range of the DRIVE control, creating a deep distortion that was not possible with the original. It also features a strong sense of rotation. The sound maintains its definition even amidst intense fluctuations and distortion, greatly expanding the range of expression for impactful guitar solos, impressive arpeggios, and more. ■DRIVE knob with two functions Vintage rotary speakers are also characterized by the unique saturation produced by their built-in vacuum tube amplifiers. With the RT-2, you can add a pleasing distortion inspired by this sound using the DRIVE knob. You can create saturated rotary effects or a powerful lead tone that combines distortion and swell. Also, by switching the switch on the back to BALANCE, you can set the volume balance of the treble/bass rotor with the DRIVE knob. You can fine-tune the sound to your liking or make bold settings to create a lo-fi feel. ■ Flexible real-time control The diverse spatial effects created by controlling the rotation speed in real time are a unique expressive power of rotary effects. With the RT-2, you can turn the effect ON/OFF and switch between FAST/SLOW using only the pedal switch on the unit. There are four operating modes to choose from for the pedal switch, so you can operate it optimally according to your playing style. Furthermore, by adding an optional footswitch, you can independently switch between FAST/SLOW and use the BRAKE function to gradually slow down and stop the rotor's rotation. In addition, by adding an expression pedal, you can freely control the assigned parameters with your foot. 《Main Specifications》 ● Sample rate: 48kHz ● AD Conversion: 24-bit + AF method * The AF method (Adaptive Focus method) is a Roland/BOSS proprietary method that dramatically improves the signal-to-noise ratio of the AD converter. ● DA conversion: 32-bit ● Nominal input level: INPUT A (MONO), INPUT B: -20dBu ●Maximum input level: INPUT A (MONO), INPUT B: +7dBu ●Input impedance: INPUT A (MONO), INPUT B: 1MΩ ●Rated output level: OUTPUT A (MONO), OUTPUT B: -20dBu ●Maximum output level: OUTPUT A (MONO), OUTPUT B: +7dBu ●Output impedance: OUTPUT A (MONO), OUTPUT B: 1kΩ ●Recommended load impedance: OUTPUT A (MONO), OUTPUT B: 10kΩ or higher ● Bypass: Buffered bypass ●Controls: SLOW knob, FAST knob, DRIVE knob, LEVEL knob, MODE switch, pedal switch, RISE/FALL TIME switch, DRIVE KNOB switch ●Indicators: CHECK indicator (also functions as a check and SLOW/FAST switch), VIRTUAL ROTOR ●Connection terminals: INPUT A (MONO), INPUT B, OUTPUT A (MONO), OUTPUT B terminals: standard type, SPEED terminal: TRS standard type, DC IN terminal ●Power supply: Alkaline battery (9V type), AC adapter (sold separately) ●Current consumption: 115mA ●Battery life during continuous use: Alkaline batteries: Approximately 2.5 hours *May vary depending on usage conditions. ●External dimensions: 73 (width) x 129 (depth) x 59 (height) mm ●Weight (including batteries): 450g ●Accessories: Warranty card, leaflet (safety precautions, usage precautions, contact information), alkaline battery (9V type); already connected to the unit. ●Optional accessories: AC adapter: PSA-100, Footswitch: FS-5U, Dual footswitch: FS-6 / FS-7 Expression pedals: FV-500H / FV-500L / EV-30 / Roland EV-5 *Specifications and design are subject to change without notice for improvement purposes.
